Glynn Echerd, DVM
Dr. Glynn Echerd, doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM), is a native Texan and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1986. He has been the owner of Los Altos Veterinary Clinic for over 20 years. His interests are internal medicine, endocrinology, anesthesia, dentistry and general surgery for cats and dogs. Dr Echerd lives near our veterinary clinic in Los Altos with his wife, Margaret. They have three crazy house cats and a white cockapoo. Together, Glynn and Margaret enjoy biking and hiking in the Santa Cruz mountains, traveling and cooking. Dr. Echerd is a past president of the Santa Clara Valley Veterinary Medical Association. A frustrated musician, Dr. Echerd claims he is just doing ‘this vet thing’ while he is waiting to get his ‘big break in rock and roll’.
Kari Kristensen-McCulloch, DVM
We are proud to welcome Dr. Kari Kristensen-McCulloch “back home”. She is a Los Altos native and worked in our clinic with Dr. Echerd as a veterinary assistant in the mid 1990’s. After working in a veterinary clinic setting she knew she wanted to be a Veterinarian herself and set sail across the Atlantic to begin school at Liverpool University, earning her degree in 2005.
While oversees, she had a lot of experience in providing care for large farm animals as well as small pets. She came back to the Bay Area in 2010 where she has practiced small animal veterinary care ever since.
Dr. Kristensen-McCulloch is excited to be back at Los Altos Veterinary Clinic and in the community again. When she isn’t working to take care of client’s pets, she is hanging our with her husband and their Golden Retriever (yes, a vet with only one pet!). They enjoy traveling, backpacking, fishing and taking their 1968 Ken Craft trailer out whenever possible!
Just moved back to California bay area in January 2017 from Fort Lauderdale Florida. Being raised in the bay area her whole life, she worked in San Jose as a veterinary assistant for 5 years. Went to Florida for more opportunities and growing experiences with other doctors and practices in 2013. Once she moved back she couldn’t wait to find a new place to call “home”! Now working as a veterinary technician / surgery technician. She brought back from florida not only her new skills as a technician but also 3 adorable cats she adopted in florida that mean the world to her! On her free time off she enjoys hiking, camping with friends and go to any San Francisco Giants baseball game she can. Her hobbies include gardening, swimming and art.
Joanne is an active mother of two human children, two cats, two dogs, and 3 Guinea pigs! She loves her time working at Los Altos Veterinary Clinic and helping out clients with their fur babies. Joanne has been working with animals for over 25 years, 13 years of that at veterinarian clinics in the bay area. Time at home is an adventure in coordination with volleyball, soccer ,baseball, school performances, and community service groups. AND SHE WOULDN’T CHANGE IT! She believes family is everything, so she makes sure her time away from them is doing something she loves as much.
Jessica was raised in Mountain View and attended Los Altos High School. She is currently a full time student at Foothill College studying Veterinary Technology. She hopes to become a licensed vet tech by 2020. She is a proud dog mom to her 7 year old Pit bull name Akira. When she is not watching Dr. Echerd’s pooch, Teddy, she spends time hiking, on the beach, and being lazy with Akira.
Evelyn has always loved animals growing up and this is a dream job! She was born and raised in the Bay Area and loves living in such a beautiful place. Evelyn graduated from Cal State East Bay last year and obtained a Bachelors degree in Sociology. When not loving and caring for the cats and dogs here at Los Altos Veterinary Clinic, she loves being with her own three crazy Chihuahuas. In her spare time, Evelyn likes to hang out with friends and family and take her Chihuahuas for a ride in their baby sling!
Jackie is a mother, marathoner, SJ Sharks fan and animal lover. She grew up in Los Altos and loves working with amazing people and pets at Los Altos Veterinary Clinic. She has a teenage daughter and currently has four cats. She previously volunteered and worked at the Silicon Valley Humane Society where she adopted out over 500 animals to their forever homes. When she is not at work she likes to relax with yoga or train for her next race with her group, San Jose Fit, on the beautiful trails on the Bay Area.
We have been bringing our pets to Los Altos Veterinary Clinic for 17 years and love Dr. Echerd and the staff at the clinic and wouldn’t go anywhere else!Pam
