Regulations for a pet traveling outside of the continental US is governed by the nation the pet is traveling to. Those regulations and requirements may change at any time and without notice. The requirements and forms may be complex and may not be readily available to us.

Los Altos Veterinary Clinic takes our guidance from the United State Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA, APHIS). However, ultimately it is the pet owners responsibility to insure all requirements have been completed correctly and in a timely manner.

Errors can happen while we help facilitate your pets Health Certificate and we DO NOT guarantee you will not experience delays or refusal of entry; however, a Pet Transporter will extend guarantees. We highly recommend that you use a pet transporter.

Per the USDA, new travel regulations require a transit certificate for pets who have a layover in another country. For example, a pet flying from SFO to Paris with a layover in the UK will now be required to have BOTH a UK and Paris certificate filled out and endorsed. There is a charge for both certificates to be endorsed.
